My personal connection to Method dates back to around 2015, when I joined the Board to contribute to early childhood care and education. My decision to serve is rooted in a desire to give back, inspired by two individuals who created a child care center for low-income children without compensation for their service. This Center later evolved into a federally funded Head Start program, where I began my career in Early Childhood Education in 1997. My desire to serve on the Method Child Development Center's board is rooted in the same spirit of service that initially opened the door to my first professional job and I aspire to create similar opportunities for others.
My educational background includes completion of a bachelor's and master's degree in Family Studies and Child Development. I have 26 years of experience in early childhood care and education. I have served as a director/executive director for various Head Start programs, a University Child Care Center, and Developmental Child Development Center. I have also worked as a Child Care licensing consultant for the Division of Child Development and Early Education and a Federal Head Start Training and Technical Assistance Specialist. Currently, I serve as an Early Childhood Education Instructor and Mentor, and I am pursuing my Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership.
