My relationship with Method began back in 2006 when my son started as an infant. He is a senior in High School now and my daughter is a sophomore in high school.
I have been on the board since 2010 and served as the Parent Group leader and Board Chair, Vice Chair, and Community Service Chair.
I have been active with Method in originally forming the Jan Sharp Scholarship Fund and fundraising to support families who need affordable childcare with no other options. I am also passionate about connecting youth like scouts to assist in community service. I strive to find community connections to benefit Method’s mission to help with word of mouth marketing. Lastly, I believe in the value of fostering lasting staff relationships that improve Method’s quality of care and customer service.
I graduated from NC State University with a Biological Engineering degree as well as an Environmental Science and Communications minor. I also received a Maser’s from NC State University in Natural Resources and a NC registered Professional Engineer. My entire professional career I have worked for the State of North Carolina. Originally, I started in the NC Office of Environmental Education. Today, I have 26 years of service with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. I am the Chief of Habitat Conservation Division and supervise a staff of 15 who are located across the state.
I firmly believe in the mission of Method to embrace ALL family diversity and showing our children that everyone has an opportunity to thrive together.
